Art with an edge
For years, I've been painting at the crossroads of art and fashion, drawing on the magazines that shaped it: Vogue, i-D, Playboy, Helmut Newton.
It took years of experimenting to perfect my own blend of paints. It lets me lift the printed colour straight off the page and leave the paper behind, until only pigment remains, part of the canvas itself. That is why every word and every image appears in reverse: the mirror image is the trace of the process, the moment the picture passed through the paint.
These are works with an edge, raw, bold and a little provocative, made to capture moods and feelings rather than just images. Each theme is chosen with care, and most carry a story or a memory. Some are built around words: messages, statements, entire song lyrics. And I love bringing beautiful colours together, blending them into soft, seamless transitions.
